Here is another try of the scheme showing the positive points of the red and the blue network and our choice to see them as complementary networks...a bit struggling with this one to make it clear...i'm not really satisfied yet, but you can give your comments.

I feel you don't need the finer maze of the network for the road system,because I think we believe this should rather be used on the bigger scale. For the river networ, I like it so you can see how it works also on the local scale.
I also feel that there are too many icons on the drawing, maybe being a bit selective can make it more strong. For example in stead of three mills near Khulna, one big one...
